I was incredibly impressed with the venue and the sheer scale of both the exhibitors and the venues for meals and awards. The Fashion Retail Quiz was, from my point of view, a very different approach to involving the delegates in the order of things and seemed to be enjoyed by the audience. All I can really do is compare IFF to the ones we used to attend in London and Paris some time ago and more recently to Magic in Las Vegas. The Indian experience is by far the best out of all of them. The show was better organised, it was much more directional and informative than those I have attended elsewhere and because most of the attendees are prepared to take part in open forums and discussions it meant that I took away some real idea of what is going on in the Indian retail environment. I enjoyed the whole experience from beginning to end and I hope very much to be invited in future years.

First of all let me congratulate you and the entire team of IMAGES for putting together such a fabulous two day event. I have to tell you that the entire seminar was superbly organised and thanks to your team for having put in such a tremendous and well organized effort.
Unlike many other seminars in India, your post event follow up and updates were of the highest order in quality.
Our session went off well, though it was cut short because of paucity of time to 40 minutes. My advice is that inspite of the pressure of television, we must allow the presenters to do powerpoints else the whole session loses impact.

I was impressed with the breadth of the Fashion Forum and the quality of the speakers. I particularly enjoyed the panel session on clothing chaired by Mr Hemchandra Javeri and the presentation by Ravi Thakran on luxury retailing. Both were very thought-provoking and raised several points that Indian retail needs to confront.
I also though Patrick Hanly's presentation was well done! I was less interested in the retail quiz (though it seemed to be very popular) and I was frustrated that two panel sessions I was interested in (clothing and footwear) ran simultaneously.
The evening events ran very smoothly and were very entertaining. It was good to see the best of Indian fashion retailing celebrated at the awards ceremony.

The venue is most scenic and provides an excellent setting of the function despite the challenge of reaching Powai and the hotel. The setting for the functions is very good and provided the right flavour for the occasion.
As usual, the Forum provided for considerable networking across various sections of the Indian Retail Industry. The stalls and the exhibition provided an opportunity for the brands to create awareness about new products and franchising/retailing opportunities.
Overall, IFF has once again raised a bar of creating and hosting an event which is now reaching world-class standards. It has firmly established itself as "the must to be at" event for the Indian retail industry. The superior quality of the entertainment, the sheer variety of activities and the superb decor helped to build this as the Cannes Festival for the Indian Retail Industry.

Congratulations for successful completion of IFF 2006. It was pleasure to be one of the panelists, along with doyens of the watch industry.
The idea of panel discussion followed by Brain storming sessions with captains of the industry on various topics, has been enlightening and informative.
The session "Brand Extension through innovative retail concepts" by Patrick Hanley covering - The Harvey Nichols stores, the high end road to success through differential product packaging was excellent. "Luxury Retail" By Ravi Thakran which involved the infrastructure of luxury boutiques in China, could have added more value with relevance and vision for the Indian market.

It was indeed a nice experience to listen to ideas of the industry leaders. IFF has once again proved to be the Finest event for the Indian retail industry. Looking forward to receive the NDTV telecast of awards & conferences.

Every time I think you guys at Images have hit a new high, you just go ahead and surpass yourselves all over again. The IFF '03 was a brilliant show. There has never been any industry event that has been so useful at so many different levels - as a place to interact with EVERYBODY from the industry, as a showcase for new trends and developments, as a seminar platform to generate so much thought, and of course, for a much needed celebration for the industry.
From our point of view, it was the perfect way to preview Amoretto's to the great city of Mumbai, and the response was amazing - not only to our drinks, but even to the concept, with a large number of people wanting to be associated with the growth of the brand - not just in India, but the Middle East too.
It is hard to imagine anything topping this, but I am sure - knowing Amitabh, Neeta and Roy as I do, that IFF '04 will be even better.

I am just back from the IFF 04 and I can tell you that I am still to get over the overall impact that it has had on me. I am extremely impressed with your hardwork and commitment to building a strong, rational forum which has the ability and the right to debate, discuss and question the nature of the apparel business and also have the skills to look forward and assess the paths that the industry has to take. Of course, you have built this forum into something much bigger than apparel representation into a mega conclave of brands across the fashion spectrum, well supported by other ancillaries, such as retail chains etc.
It was my first visit and it will certainly not be the last. In fact, since I took part in some of the discussions, I am definitely going to present from some of my pet subjects on the next IFF. I think that never before has the industry seen such a large well executed event and knowing you, I am sure you will take it to greater heights.
Coming back from IFF 04, there is so much to digest and think about. Incidentally, we were delighted with the response to the "Arvind Courtyard" and our being perceived so differently was probably one of the most satisfying feelings that I have had for a long time on the image of Arvind Brands Ltd.
The fashion show and the awards ceremony was one of international stature and has created such a fine sense of competition within the fraternity to reach higher levels of excellance.
I am personally very happy that many people in the industry have recognized me at the forum and have exhorted me to take more active participation. You have my commitment on this. Thank you so much for your courtesy and warmth.

Tanishq is happy to be associated with IFF, and certainly it has been a memorable event this year.

The scale and format of IFF 2004 was indeed impressive. It was encouraging to note that the world of fashion brands and the world of retailing were very well represented at the event. There is no doubt that the industry looks forward to the IFF each year. It provides a unique forum for exchange of ideas, and for establishing & renewing bonds within the category.

The awards night was well choreographed, and choice of celebrities & entertainment was quite appropriate. Our team certainly enjoyed the event.
